JUNE 2010
Ladies Day @ The Epsom Derby Festival
Female racegoers were relaxing in the sunshine listening to Kevin “Michael Buble style” at this year’s Ladies Day at the Epsom Derby Festival, and not appearing too upset to be missing the horses thundering down the famous turf.
London calling….
Kevin had a run of London held events in June, with one particular week having four consecutive nights in the capital (at The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, Mayfair; Belgrave Square, Belgravia; The Gore Hotel, Knightsbridge; and Cambridge Cottage in Kew Gardens, Richmond-upon-Thames.

Performing outside Richmond’s wonderful old theatre, alongside tap dancer Derek Hartley of Pineapple Dance Studios , to the enjoyment & appreciation of fair-goers & passing public alike. Fair Organizer, W. Walters wrote “Richmond Theatre got in touch with me to say that they have received some amazing feedback from what you did on Saturday, and they thought both you and Derek were really top notch”
‘Frank Sinatra’ meets...
Kevin’s acting skills were under the microscope when the actress owner of a small theatre company booked Kevin for her father's 80th Birthday Party's 'This Is Your Life' segment, to re-tell the tale as Frank Sinatra of when her father had met Sinatra in London in the 60's. Kevin’s next live date is 19th January at Pizza On The Park (nxt. Hyde Park Tube, Knightsbridge, SW1), with a superb six piece Swing/Jazz band who are without a doubt among the most accomplished musicians of this genre. Kevin will be performing a captivating set that includes ‘Feeling Good’, ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin’, ‘In The Wee Small Hours’….via a latino ‘Sway’, a hauntingly beautiful version of ‘You Go To My Head’ and one or two surprises. Kevin provided the after-dinner cabaret to 600 sports enthusiasts at celebrity cricketer Darren Gough’s ‘Question of Sport Dinner’ for Anthony McGrath’s Benefit Evening, held at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.“Once again thank you for helping to make last week such a success, and I look forward to working with you again in the future” wrote events organiser, Richard Blakey
The organizers of The World Travel Market - the premier global event for the Travel Industry held at the Excel Arena, Docklands - were overjoyed with the Rat Pack entertainment Kevin & his trio provided for their appreciative attendees.

TV appearances a go-go...

Magnificent Maltese Wedding !
Kevin delighted the blue-blooded owner of the Palazzo Parisio, Malta (described as “a miniature Versailles”) as well as the guests when he performed a sophisticated set during the wedding breakfast for a private client from the North of England, who‘d taken a large party of family & friends to Malta to celebrate their daughter’s wedding, held over two days.
Madonna a ‘no show‘ at The Kabbalah Center?
When Kevin received a booking from The Kabbalah Center (Madonna attends when in London) to perform at one of their select soirees, anticipation wasn’t high that she may be at this private gathering. Shame she wasn’t there - maybe next time? She missed out on a great evening!
Sinatra goes to Shoreditch House?
The week after Alexandra Burke, JLS et al descended on this cool private members club for her 21st Birthday, Kevin found himself there, entertaining guests at a slightly more mature birthday celebration!
Live at the Park!
Kevin performed to a packed house at Pizza On The Park on 9th September. Performing another entertaining show to a very appreciative audience, who were also treated to the delights of his masterful trio Bobby Worth, John Pearce and Paul Morgan….and all the while being photographed during the performance for publicity shots for an up and coming event at the Excel Arena, Docklands.

Full on and fabulous ‘1950’s American Dinner’ themed 21st Birthday Party!
Being photographed next to an (immaculate) Baby Pink 1950’s Cadillac is not usually the first thing Kevin & the band are asked to do when they arrive at an event. And with guests’ ages mainly hovering around 21 years old, it was good to see a full dance floor and partygoers singing along to songs they clearly enjoyed!
1920’s/1930’s and Breakfast At Tiffany's themed two day extravaganza!
Kevin is flattered to have been chosen to provide all of the entertainment for the above private event to be held next year on Burgh Islands stunning Art Deco Hotel. His jazz-trio and his swing band will be complimented by a female jazz chanteuse, augmenting Kevin’s marvellous renditions of these classic songs.

The Kevin Fitzsimmons Swing Band impresses Elton John’s party planners!
When Kevin & the band performed at a 4th July Party in London they were more thrilled than usual to have impressed the client’s party planner - as this party's planner had just finished doing Elton John’s White Tie & Tiara Ball the week prior. Wonder if Elt likes Sinatra?
Kevin surprises the guests at stunning Italian Riviera wedding!
Guests at a wedding at a private residence in Italy were taken completely by surprise whilst enjoying the bride and groom’s first dance song. Their faces where a joy when Kevin appeared from nowhere and they realized the CD of ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ was someone singing it completely live! The best part of the trip for Kevin was receiving a big thumbs-up from the local caterers for his Italian in the Dean Martin song ‘Volare’.

Kevin entertains the Lord Mayor Of London
Kevin and his swing band entertained guests at a Grand Ball at Drapers’ Hall, City of London for the 300th Birthday Celebrations of The Royal Company of Fan Makers’. After wards The Royal Company wrote “The Master of Ceremonies announced arrival of the Lord Mayor, the Rt.Hon. Alderman Ian Luder and of the Lady Mayoress, who graciously honoured the Company with their presence and thoroughly enjoyed themselves for long after the Piper had announced the Midnight Hour, especially on the dance floor in the Court Room to the strains of Kevin Fitzsimmons’ Swing Band. It was a grand party!”.
